I ride a 2004 HD trike (road king conversion).

I am thinking of going for a newer bike (2015-2018)

I like the freewheeler and the cost is almost 10 grand cheaper than the ultra.

But I WANT the front and back fenders of the ultra.

Has anyone heard of anyone changing out fenders?

Thanks in advance

I have a pair of tri fenders Im going to take the ones of my free and see if they look like they might fit ? I will post when I get around to trying it .

I am the "chopper mod" guy :wave4:

You might want to look at Oldy's Custom Composites. Here's the web site:

They have LOTS of options and you may find something you like even better than the OEM Fatbob style that comes on the Freewheeler.

Give them a call if you don't see exactly what you want. The owner is a great guy and can probably help with a solution.

The main difference between Tri-glide and Freewheeler fenders mounting is one is flat to the body (the Tri-glide) and one has a filet between the fender and the body. See below.

The Tri-glide is going to have that filet space taken up by the actual trunk/box section width. The Freewheeler uses the fillet to extend the body our to the fender.

You could make a frame that attaches to the body and then extends out to center up the Tri-glide fender on the wheel.... Haute Pursuit (Blake) in this forum did something similar to mount his fenders. Here is a Picture:

Just some thoughts.....
