CB operation 2012 TriGlide

I have a 2012 Triglide (old technology) with an AM/AF, CD, CB. I've read the owner's manual several times and can't find anything that allows me to use the CB without also having the AM/FM blasting in my ears. I'd really like to be able to use ONLY the CB function without also having the AM/AF on. Probably not do-able?

Never did that or wanted. Try squelch on 1 bar, and mute out radio. Or find a no response radio frequency.:Shrug:

Plug a dummy jack into the aux port. Switch to aux on the radio with the COM on. You should have CB without anything else.

The radio needs to be on, with the CB set up and someone talks on the channel you are using or when you key up the CB the radio will mute and all you hear is the CB. I use a XM Radio plugged into the Aux jack and the radio is muted. So try using a dummy plug in the Aux jack.

Just lower the volume on the radio to mute, and leave the CB volume at normal. They can be adjusted independently, I did this on my 2013. You will hear CB but not radio
