Well, I was away on leave and, since today was the first sunny day since I got back, I thought I'd go for a ride. Just out of interest, I googled about Carver One to see if anything new has happened and, voila:

Carver en faillite - Crise - Economie - Modèle d'exception - News auto - Caradisiac.com

AD.nl - Economie - Fabrikant van driewieler Carver failliet

These are French and Dutch sites (respectively) and they're stating that Carver's going bankrupt. :(

I'm checking with my sales rep to find out what this means for support, but I'm starting to feel a little depressed. The vehicle is so wildly fun, but their pricing model is killing them.

Oh well ...

The up side.... you will have one of the very few out there--a true collector's item <img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" /><br />
Your very own version of the Edsel. LOL!!!!!

LOL!

Nana, you're the sweetest person I know.

The world needs more positive-thinking folks like you around. ;)

Sorry Chuck, I would see about getting as many essential parts as you can afford to stash away. Ted

I agree on both the above. Not many around , you love it , and it will be of some interest for a long time.

No problem, the US gov. will buy that company, ooo wait, they are not selling any in the US, sorry..... Maybe some other government will buy it.... Most of the time when a company goes into broke, another one buys it for a steal and picks production up without all the costs of starting from scratch. Just wait it out, the high costs are more than likely a result to all the costs to develop, with chapter 11 or 13 these costs are lost and you may see a product that is less expensive.. If the product is good it will be picked up by another company.
