Wanted to thank everyone for your help. I ended up purchasing the CanAm Spider RT Limited. So far, loving it.

Agree, congrats on the purchase, but, did you really get one? Picture?Pictures or it didn't happen>
Dang , had I known this we could have ridden together. I lived in your back yard basically (Piney Flats)I have a 2013 Can Am Spyder with all the touring goodies, and have the 900cc twin that runs great for me. At 55 or so I am running around 3500 RPM, and the engine isn't roaring. However, the trike is finely tuned, and does requires expensive maintenance. I changed the oil and the radiator fluid and had to remove 10 side and bottom panels and two mirrors to do the job, I have heard of people paying over $500 for just an oil change. I live near Kingsport, Tn, if you'd like to take some trike rides. let me know!

I am 79 years young and did exactly what you are thinking of doing, I had a 2007 RoadGlide that I put CSC conversion kitHello everyone. I am new to the forum just beginning to search for my first trike. I have ridden motorcycles most of my life and enjoy the feeling of the open road. As I’m getting close to retirement, my wife would like to ride along. At this point in my life, I’m not sure that I would be able to stop a 600-700 lb motorcycle with two riders from tipping over if needed. (Thus the reason for searching for my first trike) I have been looking at the HD Tri Glide Ultra but wanted to hear about your experience with the Spyder. In doing some research they seem to be more stable, provide a better ride, and have better electonics than Harleys. A couple of questions I have is How hard is it to find a repair facility when traveling? Are they reliable? How comfortable is the ride for your passenger? Thanks in advance for your responses. I plan on test riding both before purchasing but wanted to hear opinions from others with more experience.
