Camping

I see it's been awhile.

I bought a 2017 Roadman camping trailer yesterday, probably paid too much @ $3400, but it is very clean, seller said "like new" (but nothing 5 years old is like new). I was just cruising Craigs List in the RV section, checking out Class A/B's and the trailer popped up. This is my impulse buy for this year!

It does look nice. Seller bought it and took a trip from Mo. to Ca. up Highway 1, south to north and back to Mo. then he said 4 local campouts. He has an ice chest on the front with two 2 gallon RotoPax gas cans. Seller said he got the larger queen size with larger wheels and wide tires. The tires even look new!

I've never pulled a trailer on a bike or trike! I'll go get a 1 7/8 ball for my hitch and take it for a ride in the neighborhood to get a feel for it this afternoon. Seller kept his mattress pad so I'll get on Amazon for a bed.

My trike is an 1800 VTX with a Champion kit, love it, the trailer weighs 275 and I can't imagine putting 250 pounds of stuff in there.

What I don't like: The seller listed it as a "popup" camper, it isn't, it's a tent that stands alone mounted on the trailer. I'm sure you guys know that. I'm determined to make the set up easier with different poles/hardware to raise the tent or at least raise a frame and toss the tent over a frame. Other than that I'm pleased with it.

I'm already planning a trip down to the Diamond Mine Park in Arkansas in middle August, hope it cools down!
