Bugs

What are some of the methods or products folks

are using to remove bugs from faring and fenders?

Thanks for any input.

Oldsow.

I use the original bike spirit spray cleaner and polish it used to be called Honda spray wax..

I know everybody has their own formulas some even have homemade concoctions, but I’ve been using it for probably 20 years now..

I always used Bugslide as well and thought it was great stuff. But then I discovered Diamond Finish and I feel it works equally well and maybe even better. It less expensive than Bugslide. I see the OP is from Shawano. I get Diamond Finish at Doc's Harley in Bonduel.

...and let it sit on the area for awhile, then clean.

As stated, warm water on a cotton towel, let it soak on the bugs for a while, then wash with your favorite car wash solution.

Prevention is the cure to getting them off easily. Once you have the fairing clean, two or three coats of your favorite polish/wax/ceramic coating will make it easy to get the bugs off.

The sooner you can get them off the better (like after your ride), if you let them harden a few days it becomes difficult and may etch the paint surface.

I buy this by the big bottles. I use it for more than just the Trike.

Bugslide and microfiber towel . Best to do it as soon as you’re done riding before they harden up! Been using it for years . A gallon lasts about a year
