There are any number of books on motorcycle riding technique. Are there any available on riding a trike? The Lehman owners manual is woefully brief and inadequate.

Alternatively, is there a single thread on this forum with (almost) everything a new trike rider needs to know?

Thanks.

Or else the trike is free and the DVD is VERY expensive. I will check the local dealer to see if they will sell me the DVD.

Thanks.

Yelvington, sponsors this forum, and has a pretty informative trike riding booklet-that you can download. It covers the basics, but beneficial for the beginner for sure. Also check out some of the experienced rider comments in the forum.

David, I have an MSF tips manual I found a while back. This might help, at least unless/until someone else has something more beneficial. If you send an email to me at cheri @ newenglandtrikers dot org, I can reply with the manual as an attachment (Adobe PDF) - I've been trying but I can't attach it here, I think the file is too large.

Ride safe!!

Thanks Ozark. Yes, I found the Yelvington, didn't see much there for sure. I've read the 'experienced riders' thread, and need to go there again, I found some good information. It's great that the 'experienced' trikers are willing share their thoughts.

The local HD dealer is ordering the DVD for me. They said, "Sorry, but the TG does not come with it."

I got the DVD with my TG. So that dealer is handing you a bunch of bull$hit.

If I would have thought of it, I would have made a copy and sent it to you.

It will take a while, but you folks will eventually get used to my wierd sense of humor. I fully understand that, if you pay full price for a TG, the DVD should come free. I was willing to pay full freight for the DVD, but they wouldn't throw in the TG for free. If you don't ask for it, you are unlikely to get it.
