Board Tracker extended warranty

Anyone have experience with them? Written by Cornerstone. About $975 for 3 additional years. Wonder if a HD dealer would give you a hard time if needed.

Curious what the quote from your local HD was for the same coverage. jc

Check the fine print - Something about FL not being a covered state?

"
  1. Can I buy the plan from you, even though I live elsewhere? (Texas, New York, Ohio, ect)
    • Yes, we can enroll your Harley as long as it isn't registered in CA, FL or OR. Enrollment is electronic via email and phone.

Don't believe I've come across them before. What's in the fine print?

Same as HD EW, but no co pay

A few hundred less than HD. No co pay. Jim said to use a address from a friend or relative in another state.

If it helps.....Board Tracker is just over an hour from me. Been there 4-5 times. Nice dealership {changed hands recently}. Never heard of a complaint about them on any level. I do know that the area dealers don't like them regarding their discount HD Parts. I appears they have a long standing agreement to be able to sell like that from HD {and I mean a long ago agreement} So it makes them un-liked by the rest if the dealers. But that's not the fault of Board Tracker.

Yeah jc1300 ~ that worries ME too. I live in PA, so I qualify. But when a salesman tells you how to "cheat" that throws up a red flag.

I'm sure Jim Palmer (Extended Service Contract Specialist) is a nice guy, but when you have to file a claim, you are "introduced" to the Claim Department. They may, or may not, be (so) nice :xzqxz:

I received that same promotion (from Boardtracker H-D's [discountesp@boardtrackerhd.com]) and I've got to decide whether I should buy a $975 3-year extension or not. I've got 8 months to make a decision.

I know Jim. I've done business with him in the past, purchasing several Extended Warranties from him when he used to sell the HD branded ones.

I gave the Cornerstone one a read the other day. Unfortunately, even though it is far less expensive, and I'd like to save that money, there seems to be More exclusions in it than the HD branded Extended Warranty.

If interested, read All of section IV, keeping in mind their definition of "mechanical breakdown" as defined in section II.

Oh well, I'm going to get the best deal I can on an HD Extended Warranty next month.
