Bike MP# player

so I tried this Bike MP3 player. I returned it.

Has anyone else tried it?

F Y I: I've used both my I-Pod and I-Phone plugged into my HarmanKarden Harley unit with great success.

Well, there were a couple of things.
You have to create directories on the media CD1, CD2, etc (large SD card or thumb drive, 8 gig max).
You then copy the songs, up to 99 per directory, (MP3 or WMA only), to the directories. No iPod downloads will play.
On play back, there is no album title, no song title, no directory to choose tracks. It only displays "CD1 or CD2" etc.
It does allow you to change tracks, one at a time, up or down within the directory.

I think using the 3.5 and the iPod thru AUX works better.

I kind of felt like I must be missing something. Not doing it right, maybe.

In the FWIW dept., I have a cigarette lighter gizmo that does a good job of adapting my ipod to my four wheel vehicles audio system. I'm going to try to install a cig. lighter on my trike somewhere also to double as a cell phone charger.

Sounds like the device is more of a pain to use that its worth. Bad programming design in my opinion. Most devices play .wma and .mp3 just fine, and I am pretty sure Apple changed their music downloads back to mp3, but I could be wrong.

Only thing you could have possibly done was change the file type of the Apple music to match what the device used. Not worth the effort in most cases though. AUX jack with any device usually does the trick for most people. Most headunits also have an IPOD mode which is suppose to make it easier to control. Couldn't tell you how it works though, since I don't own an IPOD. :xzqxz:
