Baker Reverse Gear

I thought it might interest you folks that I dropped my HD Motortrike off with my mechanic today to let him dissect its 6-speed transmission. I have accumulated all the parts to install a Baker F6R reverse gear, and install a 30 tooth final drive pulley (and the proper 132 tooth drive belt). He is confident that he can get it all completed next week while we're at Maggie Valley. We're taking our Nova VW trike for this trip and expect have lots of fun.

Just as an update - mid August now and my HD is still with my mechanic. Some problems with parts not being of correct revision in the kit I got. Tranny went to Baker and they have just finished going through the tranny there and have it completed and working properly. Should be back in my guy's shop on Tuesday and back in my shop shortly thereafter.

A pain for all involved seems like, but I now will have a warm feeling knowing that the Baker experts have personally built the tranny and I should have lotsa good use of my reverse gear soon.
