:Flag: I have a 2007 VTX 1300C with a Champion trike conversion. Recently I took the stock C seat off and with additional brackets sent from Champion, put a two piece stock R seat on in the hopes of being able to put a driver backrest on. My question is does anyone know what kind of backrest I would need and do I need to contact Champion for some more hardware to aid in the installation. I would appreciate any help with this. :D

These people will make a backrest (including hardware) for your bike, whether the seat is one piece or two. If you search the Web, you'll find many people who think their backrests are great, and few who dislike them.

Utopia Products - Motorcycle Driver Backrest - Motorcycle Seat

They run a little less than $200. Installation involves modifying the seat. Here's an example of the installation.

There are no doubt cheaper and easier to install alternatives, but, based on reputation, I can recommend this one. There are Utopia dealers who will install them, but I don't know of a list. You could call Utopia and ask.

I researched and found the Utopia to be the best. I installed it (minor modifications to seat) and love it. Very comfortable and no more back aches either and not a problem for my wife getting on and off of the Trike. It did not make her ride less comfortable like some do so check them all out.

Utopia also has a quick release system ($10/15 extra) to allow seat to be pulled straight up and out, should you have a larger passenger..Well worth the money

:wtg: Thanks for info everyone! I don't ride a passenger so their comfort is not a concern, just mine!!! LOL Hubby found one for me and ordered, it will be here next week, can't wait.
