Hi Everyone;

I got back from riding the full length of Highway #83 . 4358 miles in 14 days was quite an adventure. Lots of nice scenery along the way and met some great people.

Particularly the staff at Mad Boar HD in San Benito , TX. July in Texas was very hot. Worst day was in Brownsville , when it hit 108 F. [ 118 F. with humidity. ]

For me, South Padre Island was the highlight of the trip. Also I never ran into Old Road Dog's demon priest or the phantom truck stop on 83 , so 2 bonuses there. :)

For anyone thinking of making the ride , you won't be disappointed.

Did that ride many years ago with HOG. Started it at beginning in S Texas & all the way to Canadian border. Was one of the HOG "Posse Rides" .

Several years ago we took the Jefferson Highway from your fair city of Winnipeg down to New Orleans. Another good one.
