Big trike dealer near St. Louis IL. didn't recommend the Cobra tire. Said they install the MPA (reversed of course) 1000 to 1 of anything else. Said they keep about 30 of MPA on hand. They're mounted price of Cobra was $326, MPA $254.

You will like it. After using MPA's on my Trike, I switched to the Avon Trike Tire last spring. WOW what difference.
When did Avon Cobra tire come out?

How is it wearing? How many miles on it? Any scalping on the Avon? How did you balance the tire? What pressure do you use?
Sorry for all the question, but need to know in case I buy one.
Thanks,

I've got just a little over 11,000 miles on my Avon Cobra Trike tire. I really like the ride of the radial tire, but a little disappointed in the mileage. I'm nearing the end of the first tire. But I already purchased another one, just was hoping for a little better mileage. Everything in life is a trade off, I guess.

Think you will. Appears the majority of us who have used it like it and will continue to use it unless someone comes up with a better tire.
Agree 100% If they made rear tires for the trike I would dump the Dunlops.
What size are they?

lol I said if Avon made a rear tire for the trike I'd buy it. Sadly, they don't as far as I know.
It will be some time before I wear out the OE tires. Between our crazy weather, 80's yesterday and mid 50 today but windy, and getting back to normal after a mild stroke, I have not been able to ride. :gah:

Sorry to hear of your recent setback.
Just rest and know that you will be back in the saddle again soon.ThumbUp
Take care.
That is why I've not been on the forum as much as I used to be.
I start out patient therapy Mon at 8:30. Believe me I want to get stable and start riding again. I am thankful I can at least drive the car around without issue.
