My voyage of discovery around a Goldwing continues, A cable from the throttle twist grip not even shown in Haynes Manual?
Discovered 3 core cable with label not attached to anything or even where it might?
Can anyone enlighten me please.WP_20241229_09_27_28_Pro.jpgWP_20241229_09_30_06_Pro.jpgWP_20241229_09_30_19_Pro.jpg

It appears to be aftermarket. I've never seen a tag with a symbol like that on OEM wiring. Or connectors like that on OEM. That would explain not finding it in the Haynes manual.

I did wonder about heated grips but no indication I can find on how to activate.
The wiring as yet remains a mystery, no use asking previous owner as they even paid to have spark plugs changed. Riders not bikers.

Like others said, I’d guess it’s aftermarket heated grips with the label indicating some sort of rotary control for level of heat.

Should be a corresponding cable from the other grip where the 2 tie together in series, then go to the controller then another wire going to the fuse block.

If it’s like some aftermarket heated grips, it probably fried the controller and they removed it leaving the wires hanging. If you look at the clear insulator tubing over the connectors, it looks like they had a bad connection and got really hot.

Thanks Carl, whatever it is everything on trike is working as expected as far as I know so no real loss. It was suggested to me that the diagram on the label could relate to the 'self cancelling' indicators which I don't have although habits from bikes without I normally cancel them myself.

1500s had self canceling signals.
Thanks Marc, what I should have said is I have to cancel them, I did read on some threads somewhere that owners were disconnecting the system on there new(ish) bikes because of problems and safety concerns. Will do an in depth search around mine to see what the set up is

There us a link from the bottom of the switch to the triple tree underneath. It pretty much works off the movement of the handlebars
