Greyhound has good rates believe it or not.
Wow. Never thought of them. Just did an online quote and it looks to be less than $100 on Greyhound. Texted Dan with the info a few minutes ago.
Thanks guys.
Yup.If I remember right the one for the faring classified as a 75 lb package and it weighed like 30.Box was probably 36x18x18 roughly. That policy was a killer when I shipped a set of crashbars. You all hit the nail on the head, it's not the weight it's the size the box takes up. A box the size that was needed probably had a shipping weight of 40 to 50 lbs or more.
Yep, I have always found them to be less than half the price of most shippers, especially on slightly oversize packages.
So that is how Marge gets you to the TrikeTalk events--riding in the back of the bus !! LOL!! Smart gal saving all that money!!

Quick update for regular readers. Dan and I have had several phone conversations. I picked up the trunk and went to the UPS Store for a shipping quote.
Are those people crazy or what? The clerk told me it would be $240 plus packaging to send it from Florida to Arizona. That's absolutely nuts. You could send a 50 pound concrete block for $20 or so.
Needless to say, Dan is looking at other transportation alternatives.
stay away from the ups store if there is a ups depot around they are cheaper. I was trying to ship a goldwing seat the ups depot wanted $60. ups told me it would be cheaper at the post office. I put in a box and they shiped it for $20 some $ try the post office
