Anyone have an ULTIMATE SEAT on a TRI GLIDE?
H-D Hammock seat - not good for me on Long rides; H-D Reach - friend has one, maybe like better; Ultimate - have never let me down. A little concerned you won't sit 'in' it enough when cornering

I don't have an ultimate - just the regular stock seat. With that, here is my question - do you have a backrest.

If so, just sit back on that and the seat should be just fine.

Ultimate is a great seat. I had one and liked it. But everyone is different. Back a few years ago when I purchased they had a return policy if you didn't like it with in a certain period. Don't know if they still do.

Thanks Gorilla; yes they still have a great 14 days (I think it's 14) for an exchange or full refund. They aren't the softest out there but I've ridden 800 miles on one - not a Tri Glide - with very minimal discomfort.

I have an Ultimate tallboy with backrest. It’s better than stock for sure and in my ass’s opinion better than a Hammock. Not sure it’s the best. I really liked my Mustang super tour on my 07 FLHTC and I am curious about the Road Zepplin…I do like my ultimate but I am out of shape and with arthritis and diabetes I know I am not the ultimate test dummy. My wife likes it.

Thanks; I also had a Mustang and it completely eliminated a sore back on long rides. I'd have to say they are pretty equal, maybe an edge to Ultimate. A friend has a Mustang on a Heritage and noticed it isn't very deep; comfort was okay, better than th Hammock. I noticed on H-D the RZ only received 3 1/2 Stars by reviewers.

The newer RZs have only 2 buttons, 1 for passenger and 1 for rider. The older RZs had 3 buttons and 2 of them were for the rider, lots of adjustable positions. I had a newer RZ on my '15 and was really happy with it, pricey-yes but very comfortable.

Only issue for me would be space, it pushes you forward a bit compared to the tallboy seats

Update: Purchased the standard Mid-rider and it is PERFECT for me, unfortunately my wife barely fits between her backrest and mine. I'm 5'8", 159 and it's tight for me. Going to HATE sending it back as they jumped through hoops for me

I have one on mine and the wife says it’s ok, there is a pad attached to the tour pack then I have a thin cushion under the sheepskin.

Went Saddlemen Road Sofa. First shipment was defective fit and I tried to 'make' it fit which voided my 'warranty' but they sent me a new oone after another $250 upholstery warranty. new one fits but... my opinion they took advantage of a bad production but end-of-the-day I'm happy. Passenger is a little tight but she's not complaining. Ordered a tour-pak relocator just because. I like the seat... more so after 500-700 miles.

I'm looking myself. I had a Mustang extended super touring deluxe on my RG3 and liked it, but since it took them 7 weeks to get my custom covered backrest to me (something their peter bellied foreman could have done during a lunch break), I'm looking elsewhere. Wanted to try a RZ but I need to go back a couple of inches.

Rodger I don't know your size but I'm 5'10 220 lbs and I loved the RZ. Mostly rode just one up.

I'm 6', and I have had to move back on every bike so far with the exception of an '84 low rider. 2" back on the RG3 was perfect, was hoping the Tri Glide would be different, but the stock seat on this one feels too close to. I'm going to swing by the dealer to try an RZ (without air hooked up).
