It's simplicity vs comfort, size and luggage space. No doubt the Hannigan is one of the best kits out there in the luggage capacity and size categories...and probably comfort as well. But, the underneath looks like the suspension off of a Corvette. You need to be handy to a dealer. I had a local friend that kitted his stock Ultra with the Hannigan. The closest dealer from us is around 250-miles. He never really liked the trike and I honestly don't know why, but he did have to take it back to that dealer twice before he sold it.
I am sure the Hannigan is nice ride, but I prefer something I can fix along the road side (and have)...that's why I have a simple straight axle kit. You suffer the consequences in comfort, but I have never had to put it on a trailer....yet.
