Having (another) mid-life crisis and I think it is time to build/ride a Harley trike again. Haven't had a ride since the 90's when I had a rigid Evo trike with a servi-car rear end. I'd like to do it again but this time in comfort. Store bought Triglide is out of the question, too much modification needed (see my profile album and you'll understand). I'm looking for anything to watch out for in a "donor" bike. Are any models better than others for conversion? My rigids had too much vibration and found every bump in the road. I'm thinking an FXWG, Frankenstein, and "power steering" triple trees (or do they still make adjustable triple trees). I'm also thinking 88 inch carburated rather than fuel injected. Any advice on all the new fangled stuff is greatly appreciated.
