Another seat question

My honey and I went for about an hour and a half ride yesterday. I realize it's been 25 or more years since riding and we need to get used to longer rides a little at a time. I don't want to change seats right now. Funds are limited. Is there any kind of seat pad to add to make longer rides easier on the keister? Mine was sore right at the tail bone and she was sore right at the top of her legs. I have what she calls a bony rear and she has what I call a well padded one. You can get away with that after 36 years, so don't try telling yours that if you are newlyweds.;) Anyway, is there something we can add to help or do we just tough it out and get used to riding?

Pro-Pad gel pad.....bought one last September for a ride to Canada....won't go without it now....worth every penny ($100)!!!!

With the AirHawk you can change the ride by more or less air in the bladder ThumbUp

The AirHawk R might be interesting. A few years ago I bought a set of pillow tops for my '99 Venture, and put about 3,000 miles on it in a week. I assumed.. and you know what they say about that.... that it would be like sitting in a recliner. No so... I'm a big guy and squashed the padding down to the point that my tailbone ended up blistering, and I couldn't feel my butt for a month afterwards... Late last summer I rode a Corbin, and it was better, but still had a sore pressure point up in the lower back. So on Wed. Apr first I'm dropping one off needing a rebuild at the Corbin Factory on the way to SoCal, to visit my daughter, and picking it up on the way back to the barn on Monday.

I'm having them fit it to my a$$. The cost was quoted at $350 bucks. Now this Air Hawk R looks like it might do the same thing, and they are available off eBay for a little over $150 shipped free. Decisions....Decisions....??

2014 TG - I'm on an Airhawk R and the B.O.B. is on a sheep skin pad.

I here the Kuryakyn grab rails are much wider spacing that the stock HD unit .... and most wider seats will fit with it.

I guess I've been blessed with a very adaptable hinny. I've ridden on stock seats for 50 years. Some took a tad longer to get used to, the only one I really didn't like was a LePera King and Queen that was given to me for my chopper. Now I know why it was GIVEN to me. :D

Air Hawk is what I've been using for a few years now.

The Heritage seat is the only HD seat that I've felt comfortable in for all day riding that did not need some help.
