Am Doing DIY on Champion kit on 2003 GW and have a couple of questions

I'm in the process of installing the Champion Independent Suspension kit on my 2003 GW, from my interpretation of the instructions the rear shock is removed completely and not used, is that correct?

Looks like the trike kit only hooks to the bike frame at the swing arm, two points, am I missing something?

Yes the Honda OEM mono shock is removed. The IRS suspension has its own shocks that are pre-installed.
