Took my trike Tuesday into the dealership for the 32,000 service. This includes checking the valves which raises the price substantially. Picked up the trike on Wednesday and left it in my garage until Friday as I had surgery on Thursday All is well with me. Back to the bike. Friday I met friends for a ride to Waco, TX about 60 miles from our meeting point. Halfway there on I 35 traffic really heavy I stand up to stretch and almost fell off the right foot board. It was soaked in oil. Left side was OK. Got to Waco and called the dealership told them of the problem, but I did not yet know what was wrong. I would check it after lunch and let them know. They offered to pick me up, but I did not know if that was necessary or not. I did know that my brand new right tennis shoe was full of oil. After lunch, I pulled the right engine cover and saw the dip stick was very tight (thought is may have been loose and the oil was coming out of there) Oil was about one-half quart low.

Rode it back to the dealership where the service manager was waiting for me. First thing he did was to give me as store credit for a new pair of shoes.

Then they spent over three hours finding, fixing and testing the trike. The wrencher had not inserted the gasket completely in the valve cover. They
fixed it then test road it, took it back into the shop and checked it for dryness and cleaned it out and road tested it again then detailed it twice with a special hose and checked it again. Totally dry in all of the nooks and crannies. I left the dealership tired, but with a big smile on my face.

All too often we complain about dealerships, but I want to thank the people at Killeen Powersports - Killeen, TX for standing behind their work.

My buddy stayed with me the entire time in the event I would need a ride home. I told him to get lost as they would lend me a ride or give me a ride home if they were not able to fix it by closing time.

Yep, KPS is a little pricey, but their service is excellent! Sorry you had such an experience, but so glad it worked out so well!!! (Hope you're all better from the surgery! We'll miss you on the ride to Strokers!)

Nancy, If it was not a memorial ride that we're doing, I would be with you.
