Thinking about switching to a new windshield to help buffeting on the passenger. An '05 1800 w/ CSC conversion.
Would a +2 help or need to go to +4 OR do i use one with the curver top??
I am comfortable looking thru the windshield rather than over.
Any thoughts??

Howdy Rick,

From your avatar I can't tell if you have any sort of wind management mounted on the mirrors. Back when my wife could still ride with me we tried all sorts of solutions but the Baker Hand Wings that mount on the mirrors did more to increase her comfort then any of the other stuff. The best part is that they are around $50.

The Cee Bailey's windshield did lots to reduce the buffeting I got but only marginal improvement to my wife. Hope that helps.

A taller 'shield will help the back seat, or an "engineered" windshield. The 1800 came with a National Cycle V-Stream, and Gloria says she still seems to be in the wind just as much as she was on our GL1500 with a tall Tulsa, but the wind doesn't push her around as much. The V-Stream seems to give a smoother airflow. She sits a bit lower on the 1800, but the windshield is about 4" lower than the Tulsa. That is for the head. For the rest of the body, when we got it the 1800 had Baker hand wings under the mirrors, wind wings with uppers, (had them on the 1500, too) and trike wings. She says the trike wings seem to cut way down on the wind hitting the fenders and coming up on her. She says she can even wear a shirt not tucked in and it won't try to climb up around her neck or fill with air an make her look like a balloon.
