Adjustable handle bars for the Goldwing

Even at $800 it is tempting. Great idea and seems to work good.
The one thing I find difficult is the 1" bar going across the dash.
I might not like that.

Funny, I never noticed a wheelbarrow feeling with stock bars.

The MBL wide risers allowed me to be back against the backrest without having to stretch.

$800 is a bit pricey.

Reviving an old thread to let you know what I think of the helibars on my 2005 MotorTrike. I didn't really notice a "wheelbarrow" feeling to the handlebars until I added the helibars, and now I know what the bars ought to have felt like all along. I had the pain between the shoulder blades with the stock bars, even after adding the "adjustable" shim/risers. Now I am very close to having the final adjustment made, and am very comfortable after a long ride.

I also added a WingSoft seat that sits me back about an inch or so. At 6'1" and a 32" inseam, I am almost as comfortable as I was on previous bikes now.

Sure, $800 is a good little pile of cash, but if you would pay over $1k to make your butt more comfortable, why would $800 be prohibitive for the comfort of your upper back?

I love these bars. YMMV.

Pardon me for being ill-informed here but does anyone make such an animal for the 1500's? I have always suffered from back pain between the shoulder blades after a few hours on my trike and would jump at the chance to "fix" this. Thanks

Re-Connected had a set installed by the Hell-Bar Company at Daytona.
Maybe he will see this and also post a Review....
From what I have researched, heard, and seen, appears to be a good Solution to correct and/or "Individualize" an Issue that exists for many regarding the GL18.

Mechanically speaking, this is a great solution for your handle bar comfort. I have viewed the product and found it to be an excellent design and probably worth every penny of the costs. I did chose the offset shims for well under $100 to help my back problem, however. I must say, I am still considering the Heli Bar product. My opinion is they are a great product!ThumbUp
