Well, I took my 2012 TG to the dealer in Maryville, TN on Monday morning to get the 10,000 mile service done. Smoky Mountain HD are great folks to deal with, and even though there are closer dealers, we keep going back to the SMHD locations. Anyway, while I was talking to the Service Manager, I noticed a 2014 Blackened Cayenne Sunglo TG sitting in the area just off of the service entrance. I mentioned it to him, and was told they had taken it in on trade the previous evening. The fellow that traded it bought it, put 293 miles on it, and traded it for a 2014 Limited. When he bought it, he apparently put the entire HD chrome selection on it. Sampson, the service guy asked if I wanted to get a price on it. I said sure, thinking there was no way. There was a way. They made me such a good deal, offering significantly more than book trade in on my 2012, and making a very attractive price on the 2014, I pretty much ended up trading even for the trike and just bought part of the chrome.

The H-D Dealer in Maryville is GREAT...ThumbUp.....I've had a lot of "accidents" at Motorcycle Dealerships over the years also...riding one right now in fact.....

Cool story. Maryville is a great dealer. Each time we took a trip to the Smokeys we make it a point to stop there a couple times. In fact I have one of their T-shirts on right now.

A similar thing happened to me at SMHD in Maryville. Mine was a 2012. I noticed it sitting in the used bike area of the showroom. It too had a full compliment of HD chrome, very well done. It had 31 miles on it. The story was, the orig buyer bought it with all the stuff on it and got into financial trouble before he could use it. The did give me a fabulous deal and I have owned it since. Even though we both had great experiences with SMHD, doesn't it seem strange? Is this a new marketing ploy? Seems to work.

Congratulations! I tickles me to see someone get something they want.

My wallet looks like a vast wasteland and serves as insurance that I wont encounter a similar accident!

I hope to have a similar accident by the end of this year, but I have to stay out of the showrooms right now to keep from it. Just received word that some of us may be unemployed between now and then. But if all works out, I have the permission from the soon-to-be passenger. Congratulations. I'm jealous. ThumbUp

LOL...I'm 5 for 5 with those accidents. Service can be really expensive. When will it stop?!?! Enjoy
