512 miles on the Stallion and I already have a rock chip up front. It's very small, but aggravating. Do any of you use the 3M paint protection film? Pros and Cons?
The factory installed 3M on my CSC Cobra Kit, and I can tell you it's money well spent. My trike fenders are completely chip free after 30K miles, but my ground effects package is another story. I've got paint touch-up pens that I use for the ground effects paint chips, which have a much smaller surface area, than do the trike fenders.

There are other protective films on the market, but none that match the 3M brand, IMHO.

Regardless of what brand you choose, get it done by a qualified installer. You won't regret it.

Good luck!

Seems to work well on my Champion fenders. paint pen may be required for the running boards as time goes by or I find somthing too big to just run over !

4 days after purchase of my wife's Stallion in 2009 (and, maybe ~100 miles on the clock) she had several HAIL DIVOTS on the body.
Certainly would like to have had "rock chips" - wouldn't have to deal with insurance company for repairs!

Went to SunChaser here in Austin and had 3M film applied to the Stallion. It is hard to tell where it was applied. Not cheap, but will protect the exposed areas.
I'm sorry to say, but if you ride then you will get nicks and dings. My wifes Stallion has 2 good gashes froma truck tread being kicked up at her by another vehicle on the expressway. But we love to ride so that's a consequence. Sorry for ding but don't let it get to you it's part of the game.

Having mine completely covered in film early next week. Will run me about $1200 but to protect it from pretty much everything is worth it to me. If I don't like some of the seam lines, due to the odd shapes being covered, I'll just do a pinstripe job on it and no one will be able to tell the difference.
