The first calf of this calving season hit the ground on the morning of the 7th. In honor of Pearl Harbor her name is officially registered as Rock Hill's Pearl. Just Pearl to us now. She was 10 days early and a little weak but we think she'll make it. Finally got her to latch onto a teat yesterday and she sucked that sucker dry. Was feeding her by bottle with colostrum but she should be fine now. Just like Pearl Harbor she's fighting now.
