TBH this guy sounds like he's trying to game the system. Whatever works.

If you're asking specific to this type of vehicle, Mustang Stallion trikes do everything this thing does and more, but yes they cost a lot more. I personally would not drive this thing in NY, I've lived in NJ and that ain't much different.

Insurance - I pay $90/mo through Geico for full coverage and I have a $50 deductible. Can't beat that when most of the parts on my bike are over $30 and the moco charges $110/hr for labor. YMMV but it's kind of on you to shop around.

Rain/weather - I like to say there are three things you can depend on when you ride. You'll get hot, cold or wet and most of the time you get to pick two. I ride year around, and yes I've driven in snow. It's just personal pref really.

Parking - not really an issue with my TG because I park where I want unless I'm told not to.

Comfort - my seat is WAY better than this thing.

Price - you'll pay a lot for a vin'd trike or conversion, it's all in how much you want to put in to it. I think Stallions go over $20K stock, and the 2020 TG is going for +$30K, extras are extra.

Maintenance - if you can do your own work, do it. Locally the Moco charges between $100 to $130/hr. There are some indies that go as low as $85/hr, and I know the guys so I go there when I can't do the work.

Just as an example, Harley wants $400 to do a fluid change on all three holes, and it could take a few days. I'm doing it myself for $120 for all the fluids and it'll be down for about 2 hours.

There are horror stories of the shop variety all over the place, but you've got to just use good judgement.

I bought my TG to replace my Vstar. I'd go back to two wheels if I found the right one, but for now I'm just loving three wheels. It's bigger, easier to see, easier to steer for me, I don't have to put my feet down at lights and it has reverse.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the welcome! I’ve messaged a ton of people about the video, regarding “gaming the system” it really depends on local laws in which State you’re in. Hawaii for example Just changed the law, if a trike has a steering wheel and seatbelt only a drivers license is required.

That’s what I’ve been doing in NYC, for 8 years. Hasn’t come up yet as a problem.

No problem Rino, I wrote up a whole synopsis in the description down under the video.

And thanks for the welcome and feedback everyone! Seems like every State has different rules... but like snowflakes, not one is exactly the same, but they are roughly the same.

I could only tolerate listening to this guy for 6 minutes. At first I was going to call him an idiot, but realized he's just inexperienced. He thinks this thing is "safe"? The plant I worked in used one of these for the maintenance guys to carry parts in that were too heavy to carry by hand, altho the one in our plant had a 3 speed on the dash. You could get two people in the front seat but then it became awkward to drive. As mentioned above, if you ever hit anything head-on you can kiss your legs good-bye!

He's not the brightest guy on two legs.
