roadsmith trike kit. i had to hot wire the fuel pump the right phillips screw above the fuses is hot when the key is on. the left screw is ground..used a in-line 5 amp fuse and on-off switch when i wired it. new OEM shutoff valve.

put the old ECU back in just cranked no start, so i put the newer used one back in. it now will run if you keep reving it. as soon as you let off it slows down ad dies.

1. new oem fuel pump. plugs look good, not fouled or wet

2. new oem fuel shut-off valve. its getting vacuum.

3. used ECU (37k) but doesn't provide power to fuel pump when ign. key is turned on.

4. i'm getting spark to ALL 6 plugs.so the service manual turns you to fuel chapter 4 on flow chart

5. new fuses with diaeletric grease.also relays

6. new starter relay, and changes the main fuse to mini fuses.

5. i eliminated the shut off valve but problem is the same.

i had the bike in the show and they cleaned the carb, installed a carb kit synced the carbs and the bike ran great for 2 months,. it would start over night cold without useing the choke. ran great. then just quite. because it sounds like its starving for fuel so i changed the fuel filter and made it home 4 miles.

now it will start rev it up and it ill run 4-5 sec's, then die

plugs look good not wet fouled . i have eliminated the shutoff valve and went front tank to fuel filter to carb. no help. shop has replaced bad vacuum hoses ran good for 2 monthsand put a carb kit in it.

ECU pin 2A is hot when the key is on.

fuel cap

blew it out with shop air, cleaned the cap with bp blaster. i ran it with the cap slightly on. will see if it builds pressure overnight.

last week i ran a thick weed eater line thru the vent line. went down 18" or so. but as i opened the cap today it did have slight pressure build up, enough you could hear it release.

Here's an suggestion from out in left field, by chance is the fuel filter backwards? The direction arrow facing the wrong way.

Maybe it’s not a fuel problem ? I’ve seen ign coils crap out after a minute or so of running.

i've got it to run about 2k with the throttle lock on. i think the gb44k cleaner i put in it seems to be working, and then i need to drain the carbs. we'll see

problem solved

bike run great. starts without choke. looks like it was the ECU needed to be reset. seeing how it doesn't have a reset button you have to disconnect it. i put the original ECU in and the bike would crank but not start. put the

extra ecu back in that i've had it in for 6 months and it started immediately. had to keed it above 2k with the throttle lock on, i let it run for 5 min. shut it off. and now it starts and idles at 1000 rpm. thats where i like it with this heavy trike. while i had the cowling off i picked the bugs out of the radiators and rinsed them. in the am i'll put the cowling back on. thanks everyone for your help.and on goldwingsdocs.cocan't get to the carb drain screws as the engine frame cradles the carbs. it runs good now
