Hi there, my buddies was comparing the street glide two wheels with the trike and by sight we found the trike i having more rake than the two wheels, i was thinking to change the 21" to 23" to look nice and having more bagger look, would it fit directly ? beside fender replacement.

Also, where can i find somebody who sells the slim tour pack for the street glide trike?

Thanks for your help

You would be better off to change the triple trees to +5 degree trees if going to a 23" front wheel on your TG. The stock HD TG trees do have a slight bit more rake than the two wheelers, but its a very conservative rake that equates to 2.75 degrees over stock. Your trike running a 23" wheel would sit at a more natural stance and handle much better and have more clearance with the +5 trees. I sell the HHI Hawghalter trees and they are as good as they come. Paul Yaffee just built a custom bagger style TG with the larger front wheel and used the HHI trees and it worked out great.

I always wonder what would happen if you hit a good pothole what would happen to the rim since there is so little sidewall on the tire for that size wheel?

Has anyone tried this setup before and what are your thoughts??

I sell a lot of rake kits to bagger guys running 21, 23 and even 26 inch wheels and they seem to like it fine, but it cant ride as good as the stock setup in my opinion. As for potholes I dont think it would behave all that much differently than stock, the larger diameter could even be an advantage in some instances, but the short sidewall might jar your teeth a bit more. Potholes can be a killer on any bike.

So the triple trees with +5 degree is enough? no need to adjust the neck? what about if i want 26"? it will be the same or any other modification is needed?

what about the fender, fender spacer, fork extension? are those all needed ?

Thanks for your help
