WE GOT HER!!!!!! pix are in our album. Brought her home/shake down run/maiden voyage(for me) today fighting 25-30 mph side winds.

The trip down to Abilene and the return trip with the bike is a story unto itself that deserves it's own post,but I am just too tired right now to tell it.

Thanks each and everyone of you for your help,words of encouragement,and hospitality!!! Cannot wait to see ya'll out on the road!!!

Great looking ride!!!!! Welcome to the big smile crowd!!!!! It might have taken awhile, but looks like you did a wonderful job, and you should be very happy with your choice.
I can't imagine I was much help, but you are certainly welcome for whatever it was worth. I was enjoying the search also.
I am a bit jealous of those fender racks, and wonder if anyone knows where to get them. If I get the dog kennel mounted, I need somewhere to load a couple of duffle bags, but haven't seen any of those racks that will fit my fenders. The ones I have found are too rounded and my fenders are pretty flat on top.
Best advice now, is to hide your credit cards and stay away from motorcycle shops that sell chrome. Also, you will now be referred to as "those people with the silly grins!" :yes::yes:

No I meant brand spanking new. This is a Honda 1800 VTX YELLOW trike. The trike is in Arkansas though here is a link. I havwe been drooling over this color for 2 days now.

Actually, i bought that one last Tuesday--picked it up on my way back from Texas to Michigan-------Give Tina a call and tell her you talked to Herb and to give you the same deal you gave me (18550 out the ddr) They had ONE 1800 left in Oklahoma city and a few 1300's also.

You can get a unused Honda 1800 with a champion kit for 20K.

Where, assuming you mean an unused Honda GL1800 with the Champion kit installed? That would be the steal of the century, IMO.

I think we definitely found us a cream-puff. Ricle according to the feller that owned it before me,those fender racks were put there for the sole purpose of stopping his wife from putting her purse on the fenders!!! LOL

So,I am not too sure what kind of cargo rating they might hold.


Story about the trip is coming,I promise. Had to take a couple days off to rush down to Abilene and pick her up,and am having to payback the boss for his kindness:blush:
