Does anyone have information the status of Tri-Glides with leaking trunks, gasket failures etc..? My tri-glide is water tight, no issues for me. However a good friend just purchased a new TG and his trunk had water in it after they washed his trike at the dealership...

Is there a recall or work around that folks are aware of..?

Thanks in advance

Matt first report I have seen on the site. Did they for sure have the lid closed tight? They might have had it closed but not latched (push in all the way) If they did then it needs to see the dealer for warrantee work.

Probably forgot to close the lid and then latch it......Another possibility if he has a luggage rack on it the mounting points weren't sealed properly......

When I purchased my 2019 Tri-Glide. Got it home from the dealership. I opened my trunk and noticed it was soaking wet. Had to take the lining out to get it dried out. I've been through some hellish storms since then, no leak since. I put it off as the guy that washed the trike at the dealer, didn't have the door shut all the way. Try putting a dollar bill in the seal and try pulling it out, see if it is lose.

Thanks for all the responses. My buddy did check to make sure the door can shut tightly... and it's staying dry now. Most likely the shop bike washer didn't have the rear hatch secured tightly and that's where the water came from.
