2013 Triglide rear brakes

Does anyone out there know if the rear brake calipers and rotors off of a 2014 and newer Triglide with fit a 2013 and older Triglide? The rotors and calipers on the 2013 and older Triglides are smaller than the newer models. The brakes on my 2013 just does not stop the bike like it should. The front brake does a good job but the rear brakes just don't perform well enough.

Just did rear brakes on my 2013. As you said they were terrible and the rotors were scorched. I read they cannot be turned so I did the search. As I discovered they did change calipers and rotors on the 2014s. I also had enough of adjusting as I called it the old VW Beatle emergency brake. Removed it and replaced it with a velcro wrap for the front brake lever which I rarely use , leave it in gear when I park.

Back to the rotors called the Dealership to order them (out of stock till who knows when) and yes they are sold as a pair. Drag Specialties $118 ea. still outrages but wanted to get this done. Sanded the black coating off just felt not a good idea to bake that into a fresh set of pads. Replaced pads with EBC HH pads, bled both lines, new fluid and after a few miles break in you can lock them up with minimal effort if that is what you choose to do.

2013 does not have front linked brakes or abs so its old school, learn how to balance pressure between front and rear.

Oh and about substituting an automotive rotor I believe I read and old Ford Falcon comes close with some minor machining.

Thanks Gregg for your reply. Quite nice to get a reply that actually makes sense. Some folks have answered that the brakes are drum brakes????? Guess some folks just like to type.... Your idea sounds pretty good to me if I find out that the newer model calipers and rotors won't bolt up. Would be nice to have beefier brakes stuff back there. A riding buddy has a 2016 and we are going to "stare and compare" one day before long and find out. He is pretty sure that his Triglide does not have the linked braking system. My bike has 27 k miles on it and I have changed the rear pads on it before. Not sure when. The EBC double H pads are supposed to be pretty good pads. Anyway, thanks for the reply and maybe we can stay in touch for future help and comparisons. BTW, I replied to your question about Vance and Hines dual power exhaust and mine does not have a CAT.
