2013 triglide out of warranty so it's time to add a trailer hitch!

My 110th Anniversary 2013 triglide has been out of warranty for a while now but I'm starting to ride it a lot more and have developed a need to pull a trailer, so the next order of business is putting on a trailer hitch and wiring harness. I Would really appreciate any and all suggestions as to what brand I should consider, etc.

I've been riding 2 wheels all my life but only have 5k miles under my belt on my tri glide and have never pulled a trailer nor ridden with anyone who has. So I would very much welcome all advice pertaining to trailer pulling and hitch installing from all you veterans out there. I've also heard something about there may be a right way and wrong way pertaining to hitch wiring harnesses.

Thank you in advance for any and all replies!

Can't help with the trailer question but welcome from Florida, there are several members the travel with a trailer, give them time to see this thread.

Take a serious look at BushTec. They are the top of the line as far as I'm concerned. Before buying my BushTec Roadstar in '04 I checked into 6-8 different manufacturers. Even visited 3 different factories before settling on the BushTec.

They are a little more expensive but in the long run well worth the extra bucks.

welcome aboard Mike. There are several companies that sell the hitch and also a wiring harness. That is the easy way to go as then you know it all should fit. as far as towing for the most part you have to remind yourself that it is back there, cutting corners and gas station etc. unless you really load heavy it will tow fine.

Welcome to Trike Talk Mike! We have a CSC Escapade trailer we pull. You do have to remind yourself it is back there. It pulls easy enough you will forget it is on the back.
