I watched them unpack the crate that came from CSC the other day. You can tell this Company takes pride in their product. From the craftsmanship to the packing to insure it arrives undamage. The independent rear suspension assembly is a work of art. The paint and body are outstanding as well. Look in my profile to see pics.:Excited:

When are you going to talk to your insurance company? I have State Farm and i think they call the kit an accessory added to the motorcycle, but have not called them yet.

I had to go to Allstate, State farm don't do trikes.

The difference in price was $ 100. less a year as a trike,

I hope I don't have to change, but I guess it won't matter as long as the coverage is good. I just have everything else with State Farm and the agent is a friend.

The suspension is a work of art, and rides like a dream. ThumbUp

Have Gieco and was paying $228 a year full coverage with $500 dedutable, They to consider the trike an accessory add on and insureed my Trike for upto $40,000, and my insurance actual dropped $13 dollars (to $215 a year) same dedutable and coverages. Have had Gieco for 6+ years on all my cycles and boat. Changed my 3 vehicles from USAA to Gieco and save over $400 a year, can't beat that. I've checked around...

I had my 2004 Wing insured with Progressive and stayed with them when I added the Trike kit. I added the extra accessory coverage to cover the addition of the kit and it only increased my premium by $112.00 I insure my 2004 Wing Triked and my 2007 Harley Ultra for $617.00 and have been pleased so far. I checked a couple of other carriers a few years ago and no one came close to the price in my area.

When I triked my Electra Glide last year the premium more than doubled with Liberty from 375 to 885 a year. I checked with a couple of agencies here in Houston that specialize in bikes and it wasn't worth changing. Due in March and I got a quote from my son's insurance guy for 650 with Farmland. Looks like I'm changing. And in Texas the trike kit is an accessory.

How did Rob's thread get turned into an insurance thread.Anyhow Kit looks good Rob I know you are ready to ride.Good luck! Ride :Shrug:SAFE

Update to Trike conversion, hit a small bump in the road (read posting about not always trusting service dept in General Discusions). Anyway Trike is still going to be completed on Friday (finger crossed)poof as long as there are no more bumps on this road.

Well here goes another Update,(or as I like to say, another bump in the roadpoof )Trike will not be ready as promissed (no fault of Install Dealer), but the primer and paint to repair the frame damage from battery won't be in till next Wenseday at the earliest.:gah: They did however receive the new chrome heatshield that goes under the battery:), and the Battery is due in tomorrow.ThumbUp I will keep you all up todate of the Trikes progress.

How many days after they start painting? Mine hopefully will be ready by next Friday. How far away is your installer and are you going to trailer it home or ride it home from the installer?

Doctoss, the dealer stats that it should be ready by next Friday or Saturday and it is only 55 miles away and I will be driving it home when they finish it.

Nothing yet, they only had to primer/paint about 5inches if frame. Figured that it would not take to long once they have the paint (paint due in Wed 6 March). I question why they put my bike on hold and started working on other bikes, I figured they could go ahead and put the rear wheels on and continue with other projects like the rake kit so that would not be more time
later. Anyway they stated that they are aiming for the 13th. Thats like two additional weeks all because of the Battery Damage, But I don't see why it should take 5 additional work days to complete the Trike seeing as the rear end was already installed, rear brakes done, Hydralics, they didn't put the rear body on due to the area that needs to be painted. I guess it's just me, but I feel that the longer parts just site around on the floor and work benches the greater chance of something being accidently damaged causing further delays.

A friend of mine has the trike kit your are talking about. Last summer we were on a trip in South Dakota and he had problems with his drive shaft. He got it to a dealer in Rapid City that was not a CSC dealer now but called the factory and corrected the problem. What I am tying to say is make sure your dealer has checked with the factory about problems with the drive shaft on the Cobra XL kit.

The new ones have a driveshaft just like Roadsmith and Hannigan.

Todays update, no bumps in the road todaypepper. The frame painting turned out perfect (can't tell it was ever damaged or repaired, paint blended in perfectly). They also were able to get the Trike body on today as well as the trunk,ThumbUp: he had a few item to finish there, then he will finish connecting the exhaust, place the tires on and the rear will be completed:D. Then on to the rake kit. The drive shaft is one of the new one piece there are pics in my folder of the install. Altus Powersports in Altus OK. are the installers. Seeing the Trike today I am so ready for it to be completed, the weather here today was in the mid 70's:Excited:.

It won't be long, now!

While I really enjoyed watching my trike come together, I liked it a lot better once I was able to go riding!

Well I went out to look at Trike yesterday (no bumps in the road), they had the rear of the Trike completed with the exception of putting on the rear tiresThumbUp. This morning they will remove the front forks so that they can replace the Triple Tree and replace it with the Raked Tree kite. They stated that they would be done late this evening or first thing Saturday morningpepper. Then I will be able to pick it up and drive her (the Trike) home:wave4:The good part is it is straight shot from Altus Ok to Lawton Ok about 55 miles (really nice surface) on Hwy 62. I will take a little bit of time to get use to the steering before I leave their parkinglot (fairly big lot, able to drive completely around their business) as to get use to Trike, I know it will take some getting use to, but I am coming off a bike/sidecar so hopefully thats in my favor:10:.

I hope the shop will put a few test miles on the trike before they turn it over to you.

Also, I hope the trike is everything you hoped for, and that you have a great ride home.
