2007 Lehman Side Cover Issues

Has anyone experienced their side covers coming loose? Get the sides in, top comes out. Get the top in bottom comes out....

They are the Lehman Renegade Trike side covers that would replace the stock Harley covers. They use a hole from the stock frame and then they have installed a bracket on rear tire fender wells.

I called Lehman and the tech told me that the body flex could cause it to come loose. I asked if I could heat up the bracket that hold the two grommets on the wheel well side and possible make them closer to the covers. He told me that it may work and may not, as they are very hard plastic and may just go back to the original shape when cooled off. Any other ideas or remedies would be appreciated.
