If and when you decide to change the rear shoes, use riveted linings instead of bonded

WE had MANY fords and chevys with rear bonded brakes acting crazy

Once we switched the linings from bonded the problems went away

You're probably gonna find they are 9" diameter x 1.75" wide Ford Brakes like used on so many Fords like Mustang, Thunderbird, Pinto, Ranger PUs, etc. in '70s up into '90s even. Raybestos 474PG or Wagner Z474R or Motorcraft BR75B or cross it over. Same thing on return springs, same as say a 1980 Mustang with 9" rear drums.
