2 newbie questions

I am new to this board and to all things trike and Goldwing. For now, I have two questions.

1- What does it mean when dealers refer to Goldwings as level 1? Does that refer to the amount of accessories added by the factory or what? I have found that several times and can't figure it out.

2- On this board, I keep seeing TOI. What does that mean? It seems to be in relation to membership in a club, perhaps?? I am really curious about this one.

Thanks for putting up with my lack of sophistication here. I'm trying.

TOI stands for Trike Owners International. It is our forum riding club. This link will take you to the information and registration pages: Trike Owners International - Trike Talk Forum

We charge no dues, etc. It is just a way to semi-organize members by region or State to get in contact, ride together, support each other, etc. We are well on our way to have a "contact person" in each State or region, and our overall coordinator for TOI is Tom Goettl/"trikeleader". Read over the information in the link and let me know if you have other questions.

...and Your Dealer is probably referring to LEVEL 1, 2 3, and 4 on the Gold Wing 1800.....yes, there are Level Groups denoting "more" accessories as the number goes up.....You definetly need to sign up for TOI.....ThumbUp

The Goldwing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) has four levels of riding 'experience' which involve rider education courses, first aid and CPR classes, etc., in addition to any 'levels' of the motorcycle itself. Hope this helps a little!
