Today I did my first day-long ride on my new (to me) 2008 GL1800 with California Sidecar. I did about 230 miles of 65MPH, slower twisties, and some mountains. I previously rode Goldwings for years. Then went to a CanAm Spyder RTL for 3 years and then back to a GL1800 2 wheeler. Going from the Honda to the Spyder was a steep learning curve. It took me a couple thousand miles to become confident. Then going back to two wheels was not good for me. I'm in my mid 70s and realized that 2 wheels are in my rear-view. After todays ride I felt totally comfortable and confident. I did have the dealer install my custom seat, handle bar risers , and a few other accessories that I have had for years on the new bike so there was alot of familarity when riding. I am a happy camper and ready for some serious touring..... Jim :Dorag:
