Here are some photos of the Western Rally. Reno is close enough to Lake Tahoe that a ride around this gorgeous lake is a must. Blistering heat or not.
We all gathered on Monday night for dinner to kick-off the Rally. Thereafter it was ride, eat, ride, return & eat some more....and don't forget drinking water & sucking on ice!! Did I mention it was HOT:AGGHH:
But we had fun. This was definitely a group effort. Roger, our resident local expert lead us on 2 fun trips. Daily riding average was about 250 miles. I brought up the rear with the radar detector! No, of course we didn't ride over the speed limit!
At the end of the day, the bull sessions in the parking lot were refreshing; not to forget answering the same questions about our rides for every guest at the casino-hotel...yup we all loved it.
Fun times were had by all. Next year...probably Utah....& definitely during a cooler time in the year, say September. Howard, you listening!!??
