Had this trike given to me by my grandpa original owner bought in 83’. Kept under a cover and sat up for 5-6 years without being ran. Drained/Replaced fuel and oil, replaced fuel/oil/air filters, changed spark plug, new battery, and did a full carb rebuild. Now it will turn over but will not idle without choking or throttling. Air/fuel mixture screw is at 2.5 turns out and have played with idle screw without any progress. Any other leads into what I can look at? All help appreciated!

Hello & welcome to Trike Talk. :)
Are the jets really clean? Did you soak them in a good cleaner over night? A new OEM rebuild kit used? Most non-oem carb parts are junk. People who own older Goldwings find that out the hard way. Sounds like its being starved for fuel, is the float height correct?

I cleaned all the ports with gum out carb cleaner and replaced all parts with oem parts. Haven’t checked float height yet it was next on my list. Haven’t ever done it before what is the easiest way to do it? Thanks for the input!

Hi As Trike Lady said it's one thing to clean everything but you have to soke it over night to get the varnish build up out of the idle passages. These little tunnels in the carb body are hard to clean without soaking. It sounds like that port is blocked.
