14/15 seat on 12/13

Anyone tried a newer TG seat on a 12 or 13 model? I was told that the newer model seat was mounted the opposite from the older seat. But it looks the same .

They should fit without using a hammer. I put my Road Zeppelin seat from my '12 on my '14. I think the 14 & 15 seats are shaped different in the seating area.

A good friend wanted to try the hammock seat I have on my '13 on his '14, wouldn't work. Has to do something about the different seat pan configuration to clear the head cooling system.

Might work on a non-cooled motor.

I have a RDL seat which I purchased for my 2010 Ultra. RDL uses the stock seat pan and builds the seat from there.
When I purchased my 2014 Tri Glide, I wanted to move the RDL to the new bike but was concerned about fit. I can tell you the 2010 seat pan will fit the 2014 Tri Glide.

I have used my Mustang Seat on my 2010 CVO Ultra and on my 2013 Tri-Glide and on my 2015
Tri-Glide. Fits the same.

Gotta love the dealers parts guys telling me the 14/15 seat would not work on the 09-13, but when the weather clears up, I'll ride the 45 miles to a dealer and just see myself if it will work. That new seat fits me better.

As I said before I have my Mustang Seat from my 2010 Ultra on my 2015 Tri-Glide. I know if you go to the HD Part and Accessory Catalog; It shows a different part number for seats for 08-13 then another part number for seats for 14 and later. Well if you go the Mustangs web site and look up a Seat for Harley Davidson Touring Models, there Super Touring Seat with a back rest Part # 79556 say it fits 08 thru 2015. So how can that be if Harley puts a different number on the 2014 and 15. You can always try a demo seat from the dealership to make sure.

The new seat will fit, HD didn't make any frame changes. The only change they made to the seat for 2014 is the passenger part is 1" wider. They made no driver seating area changes according to their technical doc. The 2015 technical doc shows no changes in seating.
