I stopped on the road to take a photo of my odometer at 99,999.9miles.

I stopped again when it turned 100,000.0 miles.

Does this mean my bike is new again?

:Coffee: now the odometer matches the condition of the bike after rebuilding from the wreck in July,

The starter and transmission are the only original parts left.
Im fixin to do something about that this winter.ThumbUp

Fantastic! Since it is now new again you can start on the second 100K.

Congratulations and hope you have many more miles on it.

Making the rest of us jealous! I just turned over 50,000 on my 2007. Trying hard to think of what is still original. Oh yeah, the front fender and the bat wing fairing..........had to think about it!

 Guess I got my moneys worth:clapping:

I paid $12,500.00 new divide by 100,000 and that's fairly cheap entertainment? but then it still figures out 8 bucks a mile?
Go figure?

(Or maybe you best not, or at least don't try to justify it?)

I miss my 85 eGlide. But if I still had it I'd probably be on my 5th or 6th 100k. I sold it in 88 with 66k on the clock. It pissed me off for the last time when it was in getting the 4th drive belt installed and when I got about 15 miles from the dealer after the install it started throwing sparks out the rear. Wife was with me on her BMW and we both had CB's.

So I turned it around, parked it out front of the dealer, went inside and asked how much that'd give me. I took their money then I watched them tire to move it. The rear wheel bearing had welded the axle to the frame it looked like to me. There was a glob of melted metal hanging down that I could see. Still very hot too I might add. It would not move one inch.

3 years later I moved from California back to Texas and that bike was still in their back room and had never been touched. I loved that bike but something was wrong with the final drive and Harley refused to acknowledge it. 4 belts in 3 years is not a user problem.

I went down to the BMW dealer and put drive belts in my history. To this day I do not trust the belt on my 07 eGlide Ultra. But it has gone further at 36k right now and still the same belt as when new. Or I assume it is. I bought it used with 14k on the clock 2 years ago. Felt good getting back on a Harley though.:D

Conga-rats on getting to 100K!!

Great job on the rebuild Paul, looks better than new. That's some cheap therapy, who needs a shrink when you have a trike? You never see motorcycles sitting in front of a psychiatrists office do you? I used to see a Porsche Carrera RUF twin turbo sitting in front of this one shrink's office every time I rode by but it belonged to the doctor gal that ran the joint.

Actually, you're doing better than you think. It works out to 12.5 cents a mile if I'm doing the math right!!

By damn your right, it helps to enter the equation correctly yes?

I didn't think 8 bucks sounded right? I guess they were right all along, All the booze and drugs in the 60's didn't help me any!
