'09 t/g oil circulation question

as stated: '09 t/g, which oil line going to the oil cooler is the return line?
i'm going to install the oil temp. thermostat (in-line)with 3/8" brass T,
and two 3/8" pt/barbed ends. this should give the best oil temp
and allow me to use the scavege plug near the oil drain plug (solely) for
rogguechopper oil scavage oil system . thanks leon

The front port on the adapter is the return, make sure your not restricting the return by having the temp sensor into the port too far. If you get it too deep you will starve the engine of oil flow.
