    FORK DEFLECTORS (FANGS)

    These were sitting in a box in my shop for at least 20 years. They're off an older FLH. I had to grind them to clear the turn signals and they're mounted backwards, but DW says they work very well.

    Does your Freewheeler idle smoothly?

    DW's 2022 FLRT seems to surge (a little bit - maybe 100 RPM) about once every second or so at idle. Doesn't seem normal to me so I wonder if anybody else has this problem. It's an M8 114c.i. My twinkie doesn't do that and her Evo before this didn't do it.

    I had some old fangs off another bike and while they didn't fit exactly, with some grinding, they're on. DW took it for a short ride and said they've improved things. After a long ride tomorrow we'll see if she needs more.

    This is for DW's 2022 Freewheeler. I have two lowers off my 2002 FLHTCUI. If I bought the engine guard to fit the 2022 FLRT, do you think my lowers will fit the guard? Does anyone know if the guard is the same size? I know the bikes are 20 years apart but we love Harleys because they change slowly.
