Papa you are correct it is the Karavan and I was concerned about the lack of space too. Based on your recommendation I’m changing over to their 6x10 model. Thank you for your advice. Do the tie down locations make sense?
Looking at a 5'x10' trailer for hauling TG. I know five feet wide is tight but the sides fold down allowing for easy access. The rails bolt on the outside of the deck which is exactly 60" wide. Able to pick location and number of tie downs. I'm thinking one in each corner and one each side level...
Specifically for a utility trailer. Like the coupler and ramp locks. How do you lock the wheels? I've seen wheel locks for cars, are they the same? Safe to use on the TG?
Thanks
NGU thank you for your experience. I looked at the DK video securing the TG on the trailer. It looks like in front they are wrapping a strap around each side of the front fork. Is that how you secure the front of the trike? Thank you
Does it make sense to back the TG on to a 6x10 trailer? Would this reduce trailer wag or make the tongue weight too heavy? Or because the overall length of the bike is short enough weight distribution is not a concern?
Thank you
PW don't worry about being a Debby downer I appreciate the advice. Going to visit local Uhaul dealer and get their input. Based on zip codes five rental runs $250-$400 depending on the unit rented. Thank you!
The 6x12 is a cargo trailer not a utility trailer and is fully enclosed. Listed opening is 5'4". I'll definitely be visiting the lot with tape measure. Inside width is 6'4". This should be adequate. Plus fully enclosed keeping the trike out of the elements.
Because this is a one way rental between states u-haul is the best alternative. As 7447 pointed out their 6x12 trailer should work. It nearly maxes out my towing capacity but stays within the tow vehicle limits. I don't want to own one because I don't have room to store plus I don't want to pay...
