Clutch chatter, or something else?

2006 Yamaha xv1700 Road Star, Champion SA conversion. Under 10k miles.
Recently developed a serious chatter or vibration when taking off from a stop. No issues once I get going and work thru the gears. Not sure if it's a road star problem or a Champion trike issue.
I don't know what other info I need provide here, but looking for ideas in troubleshooting this thing.

Update
I pulled the side cover and checked the drive pulley, thinking maybe it was loose or something.
Nope. Everything Looked fine in there. Is there a clutch adjustment, besides the clutch cable?

My roadie has 110,000 miles on it. The clutch slipped a little so I installed a Barnet clutch. The only thing I have problems with is the belt loosing it teeth and the middle gear chain that drives the gear pulley.
The roadie has a lot of torque and with the added resistance of extra weight and wheels, it can peel the teeth off the drive belt or stretch the drive chain and wear the bearings for the drive gear. Chain is under the right side cover.
Do you have a shop manual? Check out the "Roadstar Clinic" forum. It has lots of good info.

Is this the Mobile 1 20w50 Harley oil or the oil for your bike?

I guess I never knew there was a Harley specific Mobile 1 motor oil.

I planned on doing the Barnett clutch over the next winter. Might move that timetable up if I can't adjust the chatter away. The belt looked good, no missing teeth, no cracks.
I do have a manual. I'll be reading the "Clinic" threads while on a mini vacation this weekend. Thanks.

Harley clutches don't run in the motor oil. The wrong oil can cause chatter and slipping. I don't recall if there are different Mobil 1 motorcycle oils but it needs to be clutch safe. Generally if its for metric bikes it will be.JASOMA2 is the rating if my memory is correct.

Mobil 1 V twin 20w50 is not JOSOMA2. Mobil 1 10w40 4T racing oil is JASOMA2 that goes in bikes that use the same oil in the motor & Transmission

Good to know. I'll change it out and see how it works.
