Emergency Key from FOB

I just bought a 2018 Honda Goldwing CSC Trike. It came with one FOB and two keys. I know the original bike has a place in the back by the license plate to put the key if your FOB dies, but I can not find the new keyhole now that the trike has been added.
Does anyone know where the new place is?

On the 2018+ bikes, they don't use a key to start, they are keyless ignitions. And yes, if the FOB dies, there is a key lock in rear that is used to open left saddle bag and then a cord to pull that will open the right saddlebag. Once both are open, there is a procedure to input a specific code and then you can drive the bike.

Obviously a trike no longer has saddlebags. This is a very good question as it's kind of an important feature. Were you at least given the emergency starting code?

I honestly have no idea and I think @Papa Zook May need to step in here and maybe he has an answer.

I think I may have your answer. Read through this thread.

He doesn't post how to open trunk but says he knows how and just didn't want to do it probably for security reasons. You may want to start a private conversation with him for more details.

The CSC trike conversion leaves two pull chains to unlock the tour pak and the trunk. One is on the left side for the tour pak. The one for the trunk is on the right, and for some reason, is left under the seat when CSC does the conversion. It was this way on mine and my brother’s. So I removed the seat and moved the pull chain so that it is accessible without removing the seat.

There is no key after the conversion.

Hello & welcome to Trike Talk. :)
Some people put a spare key to any vehicle inside their wallet/purse.
Thank you. I'm trying to find out where the key hole has been moved to. On the original 2 wheel, it is under a plate just above the license plate. You remove the plate and there is a key hold that unlocks the bike and overrides the dead FOB.

From what I've found out, that lock gets removed. At this point, you can just chuck the keys into the garbage as they are useless. The procedure is now tied into the trike trunk. Once it's opened manually, that takes the place of the key opening the left saddlebag and then opening right saddlebag from inside the now opened left saddlebag. Read post #5 above by @NJMike on how to open the trike trunk.

It's my understanding that the key never over rode the dead key fob, it opened the bag so the code could be entered in order to override the dead fob. I have two fobs and extra batteries incase I need them.
