Valkyrie trike tire question

Hiya all...

My Valk trike is nearly due for a new front tire. Regular motorbike tires don't last because it's running only on the center of the tire.
I've heard that quite a few people are now running a car tire on the front but I'm having trouble finding a suitable size.

Does anyone know of one or can recommend something suitable...??

Would appreciate any info...thanks heaps.

your not going to find a car tire to fit the front of that valk..the car tires you've been hearing about is probably the ones running car tires on the rear of the valks...i just installed a shinko 130/90/17 on mine..only ran 100 bucks to my front door.. besides..the last couple of tires i ran on the front got really flattened out. and it makes steering it even harder.

Janenne, what people are running on the front are tires made for the rear of motorcycles. They have a flatter profile than motorcycle front tires, and they put more tread on the ground. Because you are not leaning the trike, but steer more like a car, that rear motorcycle tire works well on the trike and lasts longer than a typical front wheel tire.

The tire I'm using on my Valkyrie is a Michelin Pilot-Active 150/70-17. This is a rear tire for a two wheeler Valk and yes it's mounted reversed. I have no complaints and the trike handles fine.

Hi,
Not trying to restart any arguments but I have a question.
If you run a tire on the front -in reverse direction - for all the past stated reasons, why don't these tires go bad in their intended positions?
When I read that people put put tires in reverse because of the stress from stopping I wonder if a trike or bike has that much force on the tire.
Just my thoughts,
Thank you,
Tip
