What fuel? Anyone ever use Aviation fuel?

I use either the BLUE marine stabilizer, OR Seafoam, in my fuel when storing for the winter or summer , depending on which motor I'm storing....
I winterize my boat, yesterday (10/13) so I put in marine stabilizer into fuel, to help keep the fuel in the tank fresh..

Brethren,
I Bought Some Avgas A couple Yrs Ago Thinking It Would Put" Some More Pep In My Step" But Just Be On The Safe Side Before Trying It In My Honda Trike I Put Some In My Snow Blower. Jesus, Made That That Blower Run So Bad I Wound Up Draining The Tank & Pitching The Rest

I know someone who designed a race car motor that used av-gas and it worked well in a high performance V8.

in my Goldwings over the years I have always used 87 octane gas and a ounce of seafoam in every tank.
that includes GL1000's 1200's and 1500s. all have been used to pull a trailer.
I add Stabil to the last tank before winter storage.
they always smoke a bit in the spring on the first start up but otherwise they run fine.
occasionally I might run a tank of higher octane gas through, but it really doesn't make much difference in how the bike runs. guess I have been lucky.
but I am sold on Stabil and sea foam.

Back in the the 70s, We had problems in our race cars when we used leftover high octane fuel in the tank after replacing a blown engine temporally with a detuned spare engine.
Using a fuel that is higher octane than the engine requires, may cause SVS, sticky valve syndrome.
SVS is a documented problem with Road Stars using premium gas.

I ran av-gas when I was younger and didn't know any better. It doesn't hurt anything, doesn't help either, just cost more. I like 93 octane in my 114 trike, I could get by with a lower octane because the computer will retard the timing. It wouldn't hurt anything except performance and mpg. With these new bikes and their computers, you do need to run what the manual calls for if you want top performance. Just because it doesn't ping doesn't mean it's good to run the cheap stuff.
