........... And no, it is not a 17th grandchild! OR a 6th child! (I would have to kill Mike if that happened!)

Those of you who know me are aware that I have had a long-time crush on the V-rod as a trike, and that if I ever replaced my beloved yellow/white Fat Boy, it would be with a V-rod. Well, guess what............. As of yesterday, I have a beautiful, powder blue/white V-rod trike built for me with meticulous loving care at the Hannigan factory in Murray, KY.

After visiting the factory and meeting the Hannigans and their crew late last year, I decided that their stunning and unique V-rod kit was the right one for me. I had the opportunity to get an almost-unused '09 V-rod with only 1,500 miles on it about three months ago and began conspiring with Bazooka and Hannigan to plan for its transformation into my dream trike. I picked colors, sketched out my vision, and we delivered the bike to them and left it in their care. Yesterday, Mike and I loaded the finished beauty onto a trailer and brought her home.

Of course, I woke up this morning to 14º and snow on the ground, so I won't be riding her for a while, but Jim assured me his test ride(s) on her were a BLAST and that she handles just as well as I dreamed......... not to mention, she is very fast! (Uh Oh! I might get in trouble now!!!)

All I can say is that both Bazooka (my wonderful Hannigan dealer :)), and the Hannigan crew did an amazing job. I had asked Randy to do the build for me. He made arrangements for it to be done on his behalf at the factory, which is much closer to my location than his shop. The quality of the kit and the build is top drawer! Their paint job - done in their own on-site paint department - is exactly what I requested and is virtually flawless! Kudos and many, many thanks to each one of their staff for the beautiful trike that is now in my garage! I can't wait to get out and ride her this spring!

Thanks to them, I have a few pictures taken during the build including the 2-wheeler they began with. Below is a link to an album.

I had noticed your change in your avatar,, and was going to PM you....what are you doing with your other trike,,, is Mike going to switch over :AGGHH:

That is a very sharp looking trike, were you able to get a extra gas tank??? I understand they only get about 100 miles on a tank maybe when triked???

Congrats I know you will love it....ThumbUp

NANA CONGRATS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful. I can not wait to see it in June. Have a great ride but be careful that first one will be a thrill with all the power. Also remember the power band is higher up on the RPMs on the V-Rod.

Beautiful! can't wait to see it in person. I was going to challenge you to a race on the Dragon this year, but I'll pass on that idea!:D

Before '09 the V-rod had only a 3 gallon tank. Then they changed the frame to accommodate a 5-gallon tank, so my distance/tank should not be a lot different than with the Fat Boy. I expect that MPG will be slightly less with this engine and gearing, though.

That is great,,,, I know you are going to enjoy the new trike.....

Sure is pretty.....:10:

Congratulations NANA! I know you have wanted a V-Rod for a long time.Glad you finally chose the rite color.Like Steve sez what did ya do with OLE YELLER?Have fun I know it will be a blast.ThumbUp

Although I loved my first trike in many ways, the second will be my choice, not something that the first owner wanted. You did a great job on this one learning exactly what you wanted, and waiting until you could get it. Congrats on a beautiful ride, and you'll be the envy of all of us until we get our own personal trike.

Don't let that gorgeous, girlie (as Nana calls it) powder blue & white beauty fool you....she'll embarrass you in a drag race and look good doing it! :D

Kinda like Nana, the Black Belt Mini-Ninja!

Sharp Nana, I can see you now. On the berm, flashing lights, LEO with his clipboard & Mike shaking his head.

Keith, she would flirt her way out of it !!!!! Or give him a card for triketalk.com, face it she is woman,,,,, u and I would get the ticket!!!!

Sweet!! If ever I could, a Hannigan VRod would be the only HD big twin trike for me. But for now (and for 5 years after I'm dead) I remain satisfied with my one of a kind Trinity GL500i.

Enjoy it to the fullest my dear friend!! :10:

Nana: Very beautiful ride...so now if you win the 2013 MDA Raffle HARLEY DAVIDSON in August U will just give that to Mike ? I can just see Mike with one of the first 2013 HD's.. ThumbUp:10:

Congratulations Nana, on your new Baby! Have you decided on a name yet? I'll be looking forward to seeing it, along with all the others, who will attending our rally in June, (my first). Until then, take care and ride safe!
